Potassium carbonate is an alkaline chemical compound with multiple uses in everyday life, such as:
- in the raisin industry, is used to accelerate drying,
- in agriculture, it is used as a disinfectant against various fungal diseases, as well as as a fertilizer,
- for washing clothes, since in the alkaline environment it creates, fats are easily destroyed.
